Third Grade Power Point Lesson

My third graders are about to wrap up their Power Point assignment. Over the past four weeks they have been working on a Multiplication Power Point. They had to create 8 slides total... In each slide they had to create a picture and a word problem and number sentence to represent each picture.

We worked on Arrays and Grouping in Multiplication:
This was a good project for them because they were able to use what they have been learning about multiplication and apply it in their very own Power Point.

Skills used:
  • Editing: Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete Slide, Undo
  • Keyboarding
  • File functions: Save As, Save, Open
  • Tools: Spelling
  • Insert: New Slide, Picture, Textbox, etc...
  • View: Element Gallery, Toolbars, Fonts, Backgrounds, etc...
  • (more to come)
We are almost finished with this project. Each child had to have 8 slides total. A cover slide, 3 array slides, 3 grouping slides, and a closing slide where they gave their definition of Multiplication and one way they might use it in real life.

This project is spread out over a period of weeks because I only see each class once a week for 45 minutes.

If you have any suggestions on how to better this lesson or add on to it, please let me know. Thanks for reading!
